Looks
Up front,
the Cruze flaunts chrome around the fog lamp housings, a large grille and
sizeable headlamps. Though beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and some may
find the Cruze attractive, quite frankly, I feel it’s a little long in the
tooth now. And I’m sure there aren’t many who would disagree, when I say the
Cruze isn’t as attractive as its American and Japanese rivals, the Ford
Focus and Honda Civic.
Feels
Inside, the
2015 car is neatly put together. The monotony of black plastics is broken by
silver trim, and cloth along the dashboard and door panels. With a
well-contoured multi-function steering wheel, ample headroom in the front and
rear, and a leather covered armrest between the front seats, the Cruze is a
comfortable place to be in.
Engineering
As far as
safety is concerned, the 2015 Chevrolet Cruze is quite impressive. Sure, it’s
fitted with the usual ABS brakes, but it’s the five-star global safety rating,
rear view camera, and blind spot assist that impresses. Additionally, with the
driver and front seat passenger receiving side and curtain airbags, and
Chevrolet’s patented LATCH system to keep children secure in the back, the
Cruze ranks highly on the safety scale.
Summing it…
Winner of
the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) twice in a row, the 2015 Chevrolet
Cruze definitely isn’t a bad car. Ok, maybe it’s high time they changed the
appearance, but on the inside, it’s a very comfortable car. However, more than
the styling, it’s the price point I can’t seem to get over.
