Maruti Suzuki Celerio VXI+ Special Edition Launched

Maruti Suzuki has launched a new variant of the Celerio called he VXI+. The VXI+ variant of the Celerio gets more equipment. The features added on the Celerio are worth Rs. 20,000 but Maruti Suzuki is charging the customer only Rs. 14,000 as a part of the festive season promotional offer. The Celerio VXI+ MT is priced at Rs. 4.19 lakhs, ex Delhi. The AMT version of the Celerio will also get the festive season goodies. Since the extra features are fitted at the dealership, buyers of the Celerio VXI MT and AMT need to tell the dealers to add the VXI+ accessory pack to their cars.

The five new features on the VXI+ Celerio includes body colored door handles, ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, Double DIN JVC music system, Maruti Genuine Accessory speakers and central locking with remote control. The new features are the only changes on the Celerio VXI+. The accessories for the Celerio will be available for a limited period. The car continues with a 1 liter petrol engine that comes with power and torque ratings of 68 PS and 90 Nm. This engine gets a choice of two gearboxes, a 5 speed manual and a 5 speed AMT. Mileage figure of the manual and AMT equipped Celerios are the same at 23.07 kpl.
Next year, Maruti will introduce a new engine on the Celerio. The car will receive an 800cc diesel engine. The diesel engine powered Celerio is expected to come with a mileage rating of 30 kpl. This mileage will make the Celerio the most fuel efficient car in India. The diesel powered Celerio will use the engine of the Y9T pick up truck. The diesel engine will undergo many improvements to become more refined in the Celerio. Maruti also plans to use the same diesel engine in the Wagonr hatchback. The petrol engine of the Celerio may also get LPG and CNG options added to it.
