Mercedes Benz just revealed the 2015 C-Class’ high performance C63 AMG version. The company has already come up with an even more special version of the 2015 C63 AMG. The special version is called the Edition 1. Edition 1 is a name that Mercedes Benz gives to its special edition cars that come with extra kit and sexier styling.
The Edition 1 model of the 2015 Mercedes C63 AMG S gets red inserts on the radiator grille, red finish for the ORVMs, 19 inch alloy wheels with a new design, matte gray side strips on doors and rear bumper and a carbon fiber spoiler on the boot. The interiors of the car gets AMG Performance seats that get Nappa leather, red diamond pattern stitch for the seats, flat bottomed steering wheel, red seat belts and AMG floot mats with red finish. Basically, red is the major colour that dominates the Edition 1 model of the C63 AMG. The car will be displayed at the Paris Motor Show that will begin next week.
The engine of the Edition 1 C63 AMG is unchanged. A 4 cylinder V8 turbocharged petrol engine powers the high performance car. The engine is the same one that powers the C63 AMG S model and gets a maximum power rating of 503 Bhp and a maximum torque rating of 700 Nm. The engine powers the rear wheels of the car and Mercedes Benz claims 4 seconds for the C63 AMG S Edition 1 to reach 100 kmph from rest. Top speed of the car is limitedelectronically to 250 kmph. Other mechanical parts of the Edition 1 C63 AMG will be the same as the ones found on the regular C63 AMG S model.
What is the point of the Edition 1 version of the 2015 Mercedes Benz C63 AMG?
Car buyers like that something extra and the Edition 1 kit offers a lot of extras in the form of changes to exteriors and interiors. This is the reason for Mercedes Benz to come up with an Edition 1 kit. The kit will be offered on sedan and station wagon versions of the 2015 C63 AMG.
